Healthcare Applications
Hospitals and healthcare providers in recent years have been challenged to manage costs while delivering high quality health care to patients. Government regulatory agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Joint Commission, as well as private payers, are increasing requirements for reporting of quality metrics and indicators. Various software systems utilizing conventional computer input methodologies have been developed in both the hospital and clinic setting. There is an interest in refining these information systems to collect process, outcome and efficiency (financial) metrics. Many such systems have been devised, but in general the current methodology used to collect data is inefficient, costly, and often is delayed and untimely. The qMetrix™ system represents a new methodology for collecting and managing healthcare performance metrics in real time. Using the qMetrix™ for Healthcare system, hospitals can collect and view quality measures data while patients are still in the hospital. This allows the hospital the opportunity to improve care and patient outcomes. qMetrix™ then stores the data for subsequent transmission to reporting agencies. Transportation Applications
qMetrix™ offers flexibility and customization for our customers. The applications have been adapted to collect, monitor and report on transportation of roll paper via rail. This qMetrix™ for Transportation application is a series of quality inspections of railcar equipment and loaded paper. The application tracks the quality of the shipments, railcar condition and paper damage and provides immediate notifications to all parties involved in the shipment. Future generations of the system could employ RFID tags, IVR and different methods of notifications just to name a few.
